Raccoontractor
Concept
Raccoontractor was developed for the 2019 Global Game Jam, held at Abertay University in Dundee.
In Raccoontractor, you play as the project manager of a contract building company. The aim is to build a house to completion.
Raccoontractor is styled after rhythm games such as Donkey Konga. Players interact with the game through a custom MakeyMakey controller, hitting the mat in front of them in time with the icons on the screen. A successful playthrough will result in a fully constructed house at the end. As well as their game score.
The game is intended to be played socially with multiple people taking turns to achieve a higher score.
On Raccoontractor I was a designer, my duties included:
- Designing mechanics, UI, UX, point system and rhythm combinations.
- Managing the team and keeping everyone on track.
- Generally supporting the team in any way I could.
The Team
